The Energy Flow
by Liz Cosline

We are all made of energy
The world is made of energy
The universe is made of energy
Everything is the energy flow

Have you ever felt bad or negative energy?
Sometimes it's a person
Sometimes a situation
Sometimes it's just a feeling

There is also of course the postive flow
Mostly made of love

It is the only energy that can conquer negative energy.
But once called upon it will always prevail.
Victorious
Because it doesn't have to win.

It’s About Believing
by Liz Cosline

When things go wrong
It’s believing that gets me through
When mistakes are made
It believing it will get corrected
When pain comes
It’s believing things will heal
When times are good
It’s believing it will continue
Believing the job can be done
Believing the time will come
Believing there is love
There is possibility
And there is always hope.
It’s about believing.

You Will Forget

Life is all about lessons
You will always be learning
There are no failures
It is gaining knowledge
Things that don’t work also teach

Love is the most important lesson
You will falter at this
Keep loving anyway

People will be unreasonable
So will you at some time

Someone will count on you
You will count on someone else

Time will go slow
Time will speed by

You should never give up hope
Sometimes it’s all we have

You are beautiful
You have been given a body
Use it
You have been given a mind
Use that too

You are on a journey

And

You will forget this the day you are born
But

You are allowed to remember.

Even When It's Dark

There are times it will seem dark
Times it will feel bad
Times sadness will come

The sun won't shine as bright
The days will seem long
The hours pass slowly

This is the time to stop
Remember
The sun, the trees, the flowers

Remember the joys, the laughter, the smiles
And know that time will travel on
Life is precious

Life is to be lived
For the point is to live it fully

Nothing is meant to stop it
Not even slow it down
So even in sadness
Everthing is about life.

It Goes On

You'll never stop it
The clock ticks steady and strong
Seconds so short but continuous
Like a heart beat

You'll never stop it
It will march
It will never falter
It will pass

Getting something done
Another completed
Setting a date
Arriving

You'll never stop it
And that's ok
Make it a friend
To show you the moments
To see the growth

You'll never stop it
And That's OK

Unexpected Life

I saw a flower today
And a tree a little taller

I saw the red and yellows of leaves
I never saw before

A stranger smiled at me
And I smiled back - brand new

A cloud went by
I would only see this once

I wrote a poem
I would never write again

I went through the day
It was beautiful
Now a memory

I remembered family times
And planned for new ones

I noticed
I took in

The unexpected in my life.

Giving for Nothing

What really does it mean?
A hand, a word, a smile?
Is it known or left unrealized?

Not a present
or ribbon tied box
No glitter or shiny paper
No cards
No tags
Nothing to be held
Except
The giving of another
when loved, or kindness, or help is involved
and nothing is expected in return
Well
This is held the longest

The Calmness

It was a calm day
Not just the weather
But the day

The inside
Also has calmness
No real thoughts
Just being

I began to hear the sounds
Nature
I began to take it in
Still it was calm

And then a stirring
A small breeze
A kiss
A soft touch

I did nothing
But smile warmly.

Sameness

Funny we think sameness
There is nothing the same
Not even the day

We are constantly changing
Yet often want to stay the same
Comfort I guess

Still nothing stays the same

There is newness in change
Even the sunrise
A different day

Full of possibility
Correct a wrong
Perhaps start over

There is hope

In that nothing stays the same.

Action

We are energy
Or whole beings
The whole universe

Without a start
Nothing can be
Without a ripple
There are no waves

Something must begin
More to keep it going
A word
A thought

A dream

But still

There must be action.

Come to the Day

What's in a day
The happen all the time
Each passes as the one before
There is always another

What's in a day
The sun rises
The sun goes down
Happening a million times by now

What's in a day
Meet people
Work well done
Time to sleep again

What's in a day?

More than it seems
For each sunrise is promise
A chance to try again
The time to start over

To fix the mistakes
To notice the joys
To show love for others
and give a helping hand

A day

No Matter

When the dream comes
It is time to go forward
And there will be stumbles
Perhaps even doubts

But at those times take a look
At the destination
The place wanted
The life envisioned

Look behind and see
Just how far you have traveled
How close you are
The mountain not so big anymore

Remember the reason you have gone this far
And that you must keep going
Seeing along the way
Thanking along the way

Looking Forward

Much happens in life
The good and the bad
We sometimes feel we must carry the pain
But is that true?

I know it hurts
Sometimes too much
But friends and time can heal much
And looking for life

We have the choice
To look forward
To find the next smile
To believe in love

No matter what
We can keep believing
Because nothing has the right
To stop life.

Coming Together

Consideration and politeness
Thinking of another before acting
Listening to more than the words
Congratulating accomplishments

I would rather see the brightness
I would rather say the compliments
I would rather see the sunshine
I would rather climb the obstacles
Together people can succeed
Can believe
Can be.

Feel IT

How does the soul communicate?
Is it not with the feeling inside?
Showing more without words to get in the way

It shows what should happen
It shows the direction
It can be subtle - or not

Still there is a trust that must happen
A believing
In something not seen
But felt

But which is more real
What you see?
Or what you feel?

A Friend?

And so time passes
As it always has
Somtimes in days
Other times in years
Decades and eons
Never stopping
But each day begins with the dawn
The sun rising once more

Does it say to change our ways?
Does it say that soon it will be gone?
Does it say there's not much left?
or perhaps instead

Use this thing called time
You have woken again
Use this time
It is the chance

Never Lose

So much stimulus
Some good and some bad
People telling what should be
And saying how you should be
Life goes on
With smiles and tears
Hurts and healing
But do you know
Who you will be
And who you are
What you will see
There is an essence about
Each and every human
That each must never lose.

Each Other

Must we compare one to another?
Do I really wish to be like you?
We are all so unique
And there is beauty in each
Together it makes the world interesting
How boring otherwise
I like what I like
You like what you like
Really
That is just fine.

Filled With Love

Valentine's Day with cards and flowers
Words of love
Smiles
and Warmth

Telling the words
Reminded by the day to say
Making someone feel special
On a special day

Dinners and candies
Balloons and cards
Poems or letters
Phone calls or texts

Yet just a thought
Maybe Valentine's Day
Is the one day
I wish to take off

Then perhaps every day
But one
will be Valentine's Day

Something Inside

Is there a thought anywhere
That strength come from the mind
That somehow there is a trick
The mind plays
In a moment says we have strength

I cannot see the mind deciding strength
No instead there is a place
That hands the strength needed
In the right amount
Always when asked for.

Friend

I call all times in the night
I tell you my sorrows
I laugh with you
And cry with you

I ask you to listen
I ask you to feed the dog
I write when you are far away
And you write back

We catch up in an instant
Speak without words
Celebrate each other
And never judge.

Enough

I wish you enough food
Enough water
Enough smiles
Enough laughter
I wish enough work
And enough play
Enough friends
Enough family
Enough time

For you
Enough for you

NewNess

A new adventure
But must let go
Let go of familiar things
So hard

The comfort of known
The excitement of new
Must there be a choice
A little I suppose

But still learning more
And holding what has been
There is no real losing
Of what I already have.

Control

Is there really anything that is controlled?
I mean what matters
The weather?
Emotions?
Perhaps the heart
Others?
Accidents?
Spirits?
Perhaps the home

Time may be wasted
In control

Seems free - just free
To let go
And experience what is

Take Time

Time will pass
If not noticed without you
It will not wait

A day can pass without seeing a flower
the sky and sun
or a child's smile

Grab hold of the time
notice the day
and what is in it

For if you don't
too often
much of life will be missed.
